MES publishes child-friendly Tibetan children’s books for early readers. From 2016-2024, MES published 93 titles, and distributed over 50,000 copies free of cost to Tibetan baby crèche, pre-primary and primary schools, and public libraries in India and Nepal.
Production of tibetan play-based learning materials
MES produces Tibetan play-based learning materials for toddlers. We have produced a total of 2,700 sets of Tibetan play-based learning materials including Tibetan Alphabet Wooden Blocks, Tibetan Jigsaw Puzzles, and three ECCE Activity Booklets.
Manjushri children's library programs
MES runs a children’s library in Mcleod Ganj. The library has a curated collection of over 5,000 children’s books in English and Tibetan languages. It has over 120 registered members and about 400 average monthly visitors. The library organizes literacy development programs every Sunday, and weekly or monthly reading programs during school summer and winter holiday.
MES runs an innovative ECCE program for parents of newborns. From 2017-2024, over 1,200 parents have received training on ECCE best practices along with a baby kit containing baby board books, educational toys, and hygiene materials. MES also collaborated with CTA’s Department of Education and provided positive parenting workshops to over 2,800 parents.
