From 12-15 August 2024, MES conducted ECCE workshops at Bylakuppe, Hunsur and Kollegal Tibetan settlements. MES team members Jamyang Gyaltsen, Kalsang Wangdu, and Ngawang Tseten led the workshop sessions. 181 parents of newborns participated in the workshop. The key topics discussed during the workshop include the importance and strategies for Language Nutrition, Free Play and Healthy Parent-Child Relationship in early years. In addition, parents were introduced to the key findings of the studies on sensitive period for early development, long-term impacts of adverse childhood experiences and language exposure at home in early years. After the completion of half-day workshops, all the participants received Tibetan Baby Bags.
