Executive Director

An education specialist and, he holds a Master of Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and an MPhil in Education from Cambridge University. Formerly a teacher at TCV School Dharamsala and an Education Officer at CTA Department of Education, he was actively involved in the planning and implementation phase of the Early Grade Reading Program and the production of the Sontsa graded reading series. Over the last several years, he has conducted many workshops for the parents and teachers in the Tibetan community on topics ranging from Early Grade Reading to Early Childhood Care and Education.

Jamyang Gyaltsen serves as the Executive Director of MES since 2023 in a full-time capacity. As an education specialist, he holds a Master of Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and an MPhil in Education from Cambridge University. He has extensive experience of leading educational projects.​
